One of the most commonly asked questions is “what is the best way to clean SeaDek?” We’ve compiled some tips below to help out when certain cleaning situations arise. Once your pads are installed, they are now like any other surface on your boat. The sun is your biggest enemy especially down in Florida. Utilizing a cleaner that contains UV inhibitors is recommended. It’s similar to keeping a fresh coat of wax on the surface of gel coat. SeaDek provides the highest quality EVA/PE closed-cell foams that are impervious to stains. It is best to address any spills or messes as soon as possible. Even if it’s just tossing a bucket of water or hitting the area quickly with a wash down hose. That dilutes the mess making it easier to clean when you get back to the dock.
