Boston Whaler is one of the most iconic names in the marine industry. The company has been in the business of building boats for over 60 years. The first exposure for many kids to the water began by launching a little 13 Whaler Sport or 17 Whaler Montauk model. The thrill of being outside and exploring has sparked several generations of boating families and accounted for innumerable weekends of enjoyment.
As time has gone on, the boats have gotten larger and models more diverse, but the outcome the same. We had the pleasure of working on this 330 Outrage for a customer down in Boca Grande Florida. Running out of Boca Grande pass the vessel spends equal amounts of time between family outings combing the beaches of Captiva and Sanibel searching for treasures in the sand and bottom fishing offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Powered by twin 350 Mercury Verados it has the ability and reliability to handle any adventure you throw at her.
At Castaway Customs our goal is to make all of your boating experiences more enjoyable. For those long runs offshore the customer decided to go with a thicker 8mm cockpit kit which is an upgrade over the standard 6mm option. While a slight increase in thickness may not seem like much, at the end of a long day on the water your knees and back will definitely be thanking you. Cool Gray over Dark Gray was the SeaDek color combination with the brushed texture and faux teak pattern. As you can see, the customer achieved the goal of looking Class E!
