Capt. Scott Lums 23 Contender gets a Custom SeaDek Facelift

I recently did some for work for Capt. Scott Lum who runs charters out of Port Canaveral aboard his 23′ Contender “Outcast”. Contender center console boats are known for their ride and as a fishing machine. If there is a cobia, tripletail, or kingfish anywhere in the vicinity they better watch out. Scott use to hold 6 pound class IGFA world record for tripletail. The Outcast is a 1997 so it has been around the block or ocean a few times and literally had no more non skid left on the deck. Scott gave me a call and wanted to SeaDek the entire floor of the boat to make it more safe and comfortable for his clients. As much use as the boat gets we decided to go with a 5mm storm gray color which is nice for hiding dirt and adds some contrast to the boat. The before and after pictures really show the difference. We will be adding some coaming bolsters as well as a helm pad for his crows nest up top in the future. Custom SeaDek for Estero Fire Department Boat

I recently got a call from Capt. Glen Brownlee who works for Estero Fire Rescue down in Lee County; I did some work for a few friends of his and he thought it would be a great idea to add custom SeaDek to the work boat in order to make it more comfortable and safe while on the water. SeaDek provides an excellent traction even when wet and makes for a safe working environment. The boat is a 22′ Boca Grande built by Panga Marine in Sarasota, FL. The Panga hull design is a tried and true design and real workhorse that has proven itself throughout Central America. The customer decided to go with a single 5mm Storm Gray material which is a good application for the floor, front deck, and gunnel tops of the boat. We went with a 10mm helm pad to add a little extra cushion when running through some rough water. Snow Camo SeaDek on Dolphin Super Skiff

I had the pleasure to meet up with Capt. Raul Montoro down in Miami. He fishes throughout South Florida and the Florida Keys. Raul runs a 17′ Dolphin Super Skiff that he keeps in great shape. He was looking for a way to make his boat more quiet for chasing big bonefish in Biscayne Bay and also make it more comfortable for his clients. Turns out the snow camo SeaDek was just the ticket. He decided to go with a floor kit, poling platform pad, casting platform pad, and under gunnel pads. The carpet on his under gunnels had started to tear up after only a few years so he figured he would fix the problem once and for all by going with SeaDek. I get many calls asking what is the most common area of a boat that people choose to cover. The cockpit or floor area would have to be one of the most popular.
