If there is a staple in boating industry for bay boats, it has the be the Pathfinder bay boat. The 22 Pathfinder is one of the models built out of the same factory that produces the Maverick flats boats and also the Hewes line of skiffs. It seems like no matter where I’m on the road working, or on the water fishing I always seem to see a Pathfinder bay boat. While there are a few different styles of the 22 Pathfinder, this particular boat is just the standard model. The customer was looking for a way to make his time on the water more comfortable and also give his boat a fresh new look. Castaway Customs designed a floor kit to cover the entire cockpit of the boat including the helm pad area and also under the leaning post to provide a cooler pad. Check out the before and after pictures to see what a difference the SeaDek makes. We decided to cover everything in 8mm cool gray over storm gray. While many customer choose black as a bottom color, this particular boat didn’t have very many black accents so the subtle change from the cool gray to storm gray was a nice clean look. Just received a new shipment of Yeti Coolers and will have more on the way shortly. We have a couple of the new 50 QT Yeti Tundra Series in stock. The 50 QT has a couple of cool new features. First of all the size of the cooler is very nice because it is more of a cube shape. The dimensions measure approximately 24″ x 17″ x 18″. It is roughly 3″ taller than the 35 QT and 45 QT models. The added height makes it great to double as a casting platform on the bow of your skiff. Another new feature is a place for a divider in the cooler which will allow you to separate things. While the divider isn’t water tight, it is still a nice feature and like all Yeti Tundra coolers it comes with a nice tray to keep things out of the ice. All coolers come with a free 5mm single color SeaDek cooler pad. Coolers are a must have on any boat; whether you are using it as a fish box, to keep some drinks cold, or just as dry storage. Coolers are very versatile and can be used for many other applications on boats. Coolers can also be used as seating, casting platforms, and steps. SeaDek cooler pads are great addition to any cooler because they make the cooler more versatile. Many cooler tops are fairly slick surfaces so standing or using them as a step may be dangerous, adding SeaDek to the top provides traction needed. Coolers also tend to slide around while running in a boat so have pads to stick to bottom of the coolers to lessen the chances of movement. As a seat, most coolers tops are not the most comfortable thing to sit on so sticking a piece of SeaDek to the top adds comfort. We can make custom cooler pads in different thicknesses to provide extra cushion also. Like all of the Castaway Customs products you can add custom logos or designs to make it your own. If you purchase a Yeti Cooler from us we also provide a free 5mm or 6mm cooler top pad. For an additional charge you can choose a thicker pad, or add the logo of your choice.
